Our Values, Motto, Vision & Mission Statement 2

St Mary’s Church of England Primary School

‘With God’s help, we reach for the stars!’

Our Vision

St Mary’s is a highly successful multicultural Church of England school where Christian principles and values pervade and underpin all that we are and do.

We are of the conviction that there is something mysterious, and potentially wonderful, in everybody as unique creations of God. As a school we therefore value our children, as children of God. We celebrate difference and diversity and provide a safe and encouraging Christian school community where all can flourish. We strongly believe that the teaching of our Christian faith values - with an emphasis on Jesus’ teaching, ‘to love one another as I have loved you’ John 13:34 - is what makes our school such a warm, calm and welcoming place.

Our Mission

Is to encourage all children, irrespective of background or ability, to fulfil their God-given potential and flourish academically, spiritually and creatively, so that-

‘With God’s help we can reach for the stars.’

Our Values

Our Christian values of Respect, Love, Pride (joy and thankfulness in our achievements), and Endeavour (developing perseverance and resilience) ensures we support our children to develop their full God given potential. Through these values our children develop good manners; good discipline; respect for themselves and respect for others which become the norm and part of everyday school life.

We should love each other as Jesus taught us.
